On Friday, Sept. 6 2024, Allen High School defeated Cedar Hill with flying colors.
The Allen Eagles kicked off the first quarter with a touchdown by Brady Bricker.
Allen led the first quarter 7-0.
Starting the second quarter, Joshua Shaw shut down a play by Cedar Hill.
Closing out the second quarter, Dayshun Reese-Williams scored a touchdown for Cedar Hill, with Allen still in the lead by 7-6. Right at the last minute, the Allen Eagles’ Carter Harris scored a touchdown, ending the second quarter and growing Allen’s lead to 14-6.
In the third quarter, Lyndon Spriggs from the Eagles ran a touchdown, bringing Allen to a score of 21-6. With 2 minutes to spare, Allen’s Rhett Chacon scored an 80-yard touchdown. Just a few seconds later, Bricker scored a touchdown, bringing the score up to 35-6.
The third quarter finished with Cedar Hill scoring a touchdown, putting the score at 35-14, with Allen still in the lead.
In the last six minutes of the fourth quarter, the Eagles’ Jaden Hambric scored a touchdown, raising the score to 42-14.
After a competitive game between the Allen Eagles and Cedar Hill, the Eagles took the win with a final score of 42-14.
