Allen High School had its Homecoming game against Plano on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024. Allen conquered the field and won the game.
Before the game started, they announced the underclassmen Homecoming court and senior royalty.
Starting the first quarter, Allen scored a touchdown 3-0.
In the second quarter, the Allen Eagles’ Brady Bricker scored a 1-yard touchdown, changing the score to 10-0.
With two minutes left in the second quarter, the Plano Wildcats scored a 19-yard touchdown by wide receiver Donald Smith, making the score 7-10. Then, the Eagles’ running back Lyndon Spriggs scored a 5-yard touchdown, lifting their score to 17-7.
Kicking off the third quarter, Plano scored a touchdown by Smith, with Allen still leading 17-14. The Eagles’ running back Jaden Hambric scored another touchdown, putting the score at 24-14.
Finishing off the third quarter, Allen’s wide receiver Donnell Gee scored a touchdown, lifting their their score at 31-14. The Eagles scored another touchdown by Hambric, putting the score at 38-14.
At the 5-minute mark during the fourth quarter, the Plano Wildcats scored another touchdown by Smith, changing the score to 21-38.
Although it was a close game between the Allen Eagles and the Plano Wildcats, the Eagles took home the win with a final score of 38-21.
