On Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, the Allen Eagles played against the Lewisville Farmers for the first round of the playoffs.
With one minute left to go in the first quarter, Allen’s quarterback Brady Bricker scored a touchdown. Kicker Ethan Bowman’s extra point increased the score 7-0.
Halfway through the second quarter, Allen’s defensive back Henderson Amaechi made a 24-yard field goal, escalating the score to 10-0.
With one minute left to go in the second quarter, Allen punted the ball across the field to their own one-yard line, setting them up for a goal. However, the Lewisville defense blocked and pushed the Eagles back to the 12-yard line.
Ending the second quarter with less than a minute to go, Allen recovered a fumble by Lewisville, but missed the 48-yard field goal. The first half ended with the Eagles up 10-0.
Kicking off the third quarter, Lewisville scored a 28-yard field goal from kicker Declan Hamm, bringing the score to 3-10.
At the end of the third quarter, referees called a facemask penalty against Lewisville.
Starting off the fourth quarter, Bricker scored a 5-yard rushing touchdown. Bowman secured the extra point, increasing the Eagles score to 17-3.
With two minutes left in the fourth quarter, Bricker ran the ball to the Eagles’ 45-yard line for an Allen Eagles first down.
Referees called their flags against both teams for unsportsmanlike conduct late in the fourth quarter.
The night ended with an Allen Eagle win of 17-3 against the Lewisville Farmers. The Eagles will be moving to their next game in the playoffs with Richardson Eagles on Nov. 22, 2024.
