Hoco Q and A with Graham Houpt
Q: “Why did you apply?”
A: “I was going to lunch on the day the application was due and I asked my friend if I should apply. He said I shouldn’t but I decided to pick an application up anyways. I rushed to finish it and ended up running into Mr. Mayberry at 4 o’clock on the dot and he accepted it. It was very spontaneous.”
Q: “Did you have any campaigning ideas?”
A: “My friend tweeted the hashtag #GRAHAMISFAM and I thought that was kind of cool, but besides that I just posted pictures on social media.”
Q: “How did you feel when they announced your name?”
A: “Thomas Whittington was actually in my class when they announced it so we did this weird chest bump hug thing. It was all really unexpected.”
Q: “Give one word that describes your feelings for Friday and Saturday night.”
A: “Anticipation. A lot of big plans for Friday and Saturday night and I’m excited to see how it will unfold.”
Q: “Out of all the homecoming traditions what would you say you’re most excited for?”
A: “I would have to say the dance because it gives me an opportunity to be someone I can’t always be all the time. I go pretty hard at dances.”
