On Oct. 16, 2015, actress Shay Mitchell showed up to Barnes and Noble in Dallas for her new novel Bliss signing. Mitchell plays Emily Fields on No.1 rated ABC Family’s show, Pretty Little Liars. About 1,000 people came to meet Mitchell. She started the book signing with a two minute speech thanking everyone who came and describing how amazing her journey has been.

Young girls and adults continuously screamed and hollered with happiness at the event. Some people brought her food, flowers and posters to express their love and appreciation for her, while Mitchell’s assistant, Samie, snapped pictures and videos of fans on Shay’s own Snapchat account.

The book Bliss is written by her and her best friends Michaela Blaney and Valerie Frankel discussing a story from significant events in their life, and how it build up to great success. The book has three main characters who represent each one of the writers, and is written in first person. The novel is for teenagers who are looking for motivation and potential in their dreams. Meeting Shay Mitchell in person was such an amazing fun experience. She is a very kind, funny and chic person.
