Review: ‘Secret in Their Eyes’

“Secret In Their Eyes” is a mysterious, strong and purposeful movie that started when FBI investigators Ray, Jess and Claire, the attorney supervisor, all of a sudden stopped following the brutal murder of Jess’s teenage daughter. After 13 years of searching for the evil killer, Ray finds a new clue that he is confident can solve the case and bring closure to the team. But no one is prepared for the shocking and jaw dropping secret that follows.

The actors do an amazing job acting in a very suspicious and mysterious way as they fight to solve the case. Known for their fame and talent, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Julia Roberts and Nicole Kidman are the team and the main focus of the movie.

Just like any other mystery/thriller movie, “Secret In Their Eyes” is the perfect movie for people who love to think deep and solve problems in their head. The movie is a remake of the Argentinian movie, “El Secreto de Sus Ojos.” This movie was very typical and there was nothing special or different about it.

The disappointing thriller movie focuses on law changes after the 9/11 terrorist attack and takes a similar approach in how it shows corruption and political problems preventing individual justice. So if you like politics and issues concerning that subject, this is the movie for you.

Overall the movie was not so interesting and was not worth the money at all. It was too basic and there was not a lot of detail or action to it other than the really good actors.

I would rate this a C- because it certainly failed to emphasize its main themes and purpose to its audience leaving the audience disappointed and feeling like they wasted their time.
