Humans of Allen: Blane Bernal

“We had a project and we needed action shots so we needed something athletic or action running so I was like ‘I can do a flip,’ so I did a flip.”

“I’m a professional scooter rider. Yeah, I know it’s funny. People laugh at that all the time, but it’s what I do for a hobby. I did BMX for two years. I’d flip in my free time. We used to hang out all the time at one of my best friend’s house, Griffin, he also goes to Lowery, and he had a trampoline, and I didn’t know how to do a flip or anything like this. I told my friend, and he showed me how to do it, and I started picking it up and I taught myself for the rest of my life. It started in fourth grade all the way to now. I can do round-offs, cartwheels, walk on my hands. My dad’s thinking about putting me in gymnastics now cause I’ve got my flip. We had a project and we needed action shots so we needed something athletic or action running so I was like ‘I can do a flip,’ so I did a flip.”
