Humans of Allen: Mangus Chihaba

“I thought I would just be a face in the crowd.”

“When I first attended Allen I anticipated that moving to such a large campus would be bad for a person like me. I am one of those people who are friendly but not outgoing. I thought I would just be a face in the crowd. To my surprise, a lot of people noticed that I was new and wanted to learn more about me it was a culture shock. Students invited me to school activities, showed me around and were very friendly. Such character is emphasized at this school and is practiced by both teachers and students. When you come to such a place where people greet you with open arms, you realize that you are not just enrolling into a school but you’re being submerged into a strong community that will uplift you and that’s what makes our school stand out from other large campuses.”
