Humans of Allen: Jessica Doublesin
“In eighth grade I got a concussion.”
“In eighth grade I got a concussion. In ninth grade I got one again. I could only see out of the top half of my eye at that point. It just got to a point where I became so depressed because it wasn’t getting any better. Everything in my life changed. I was falling behind in school and couldn’t talk to my friends because I was unable to use any form of social media. After praying to God every night for a month, I started noticing change. Eventually I got better… and now, you know, here I am playing soccer again.”
