Allen Names Lone Finalist for Superintendent Position
Scott Niven was named the lone finalist for the Allen ISD superintendent position by the district’s board of trustees on Monday.
The hire won’t be official until the trustees vote on Nov. 28. If Niven is approved by the trustees, he will begin as Allen’s superintendent on Jan. 2. Niven is currently the superintendent of Red Oak ISD.
Niven would be replacing Jenny Preston, who has been the interim superintendent since former superintendent Lance Hindt resigned in July to become the superintendent of Katy ISD.
