Humans of Allen: Hallie Platt
“I did a bunch of people’s makeup for homecoming and prom and stuff like that, and I’m going to a summer program at Paul Mitchell to get my cosmetology license, so during college I can already have it and make some money. During Halloween time, I did a lot of Halloween looks. My eyebrows are the one thing I have to do, because that’s the one thing that makes or breaks your face. I’m gonna start my own line of lip products soon. I’ve been experimenting a lot lately. It’s hard to do matte lipstick, but that’s what’s in right now. For now, I’m just going to do some lip butters, like some regular lipstick. I’m making things with coconut oil and stuff like that. Usually lipsticks are either in a tube, or a dip where you apply with an applicator. I’m trying to create a new way of storing lipsticks. Like some concealers twist up, and then it turns into a brush to apply, so I’m trying to think of something like that. Or maybe do some sort of crayon type thing, where it’s soft gel on the center, and wood around the sides so you can sharpen it. I don’t want it to be conventional.”
