Humans of Allen: Kaitlyn Mcclinton
“School didn’t come as easy for me as everyone else. I was just never interested in what they were teaching. I was okay at math but other than that nothing sparked my interest. People like to make jokes about how easy it is to get into certain universities but honestly I worked really hard for it. My older brother had it pretty easy. He was smart and athletic so getting into college wasn’t even a question for him. I was honestly nervous to apply because how horrible would it be to get rejected, especially from a school you’ve been picturing yourself at since you could understand what college was. When I got my acceptance letter I was so unbelievably happy. It felt like a relief; the weight of the world was off my shoulders for a second. Even if it seems like the easiest school you could possibly get into, I worked really hard to get to be able to call the hogs in Fayetteville next year.”
