Eagles Prepare for Playoff Tip-Off
The Allen Eagle men’s basketball team will play against the Lewisville Farmers in their first playoff game of the season in the bi-district round of the 6A Region 2 playoffs. The game will be played at 7 p.m. on Feb. 20 at The Colony High School.
“I think there’s a lot of confidence in the locker room right now,” head coach Jeff McCullough said. “We’ve played probably the toughest schedule in the state of Texas, so we believe that we can beat anybody on any given night.”
The Eagles, ranked as the third best team in the state according to MaxPreps, are on a five-game win streak and are coming off a 26-6 regular season with an 11-3 district record. Lewisville finished their regular season with a record of 22-10 and are ranked as the 73rd best team in Texas according to MaxPreps.
“Absolutely [the fans should come to the game],” McCullough said. “It’s going to be a fun and exciting game. I think it’s going to be up-and-down and fast-paced, and something the fans can really enjoy.”
