Humans of Allen: Lara El Borosly
“I think mental health is very important. A lot of people kinda disrespect people who have mental health issues, like if you’re depressed then they’ll be ‘oh just get over it.’ But it’s something that happens within you, you can’t really control it. It also controls like every part of your life. I think we should make it more acceptable. You know it’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to be depressed because most of us go through it. A lot of people, especially parents are afraid to talk about it with their kids and it’s something that needs to be talked about. Us, as a whole, shouldn’t be afraid to talk about it.”
