Humans of Allen: Landyn DeShazer

“My experience as a softball manager was pretty great. I got really close to the girls and it taught me a lot, like dedication, determination and not to give up ever. It taught me responsibility as well. Y’know to be a team player. I would help set equipment up and take it down, and I would gather balls during practice. I would help keep track of the game by recording it. Just help the girls in any way I could during practice so the games would be easier for them. I tried out [for softball] but I didn’t make it, but I was still wanting to be apart of the team. I really am glad that I decided to do it because in the end it was great. I’m a bit more motivated in my schoolwork. I mean other aspects to try to stay in shape and be a better person towards others.”
