It really seems like nothing can really stop Allen’s monstrous performances. They are currently undefeated and are not looking to lose their momentum anytime soon. Grant Tisdale, Allen’s star quarterback has a 72.1% pass completion rate, with 1,228 passing yards, and 17 passing touchdowns. Running back Celdon Manning has 560 rush yards with an average of 9.3 yards per carry on 60 runs. Wide receiver Theo Wease has hauled in 510 yards on 35 receptions, along with nine touchdowns.

Boyd, on the other hand, is struggling in 9-6A. They are currently 6th place in the district, with stats that pale in comparison to Allen. Quarterbacks Christian Ziegler and Collin Drake sit at 40.5% and 34.2% pass completion rates. They both have passed for a combined 1,103 yards and 8 touchdowns. Junior running back Ja Tyler Shaw has ran for 471 yards on 64 attempts, averaging 7.4 yards per carry. Junior wide receiver Kareem Coleman leads his team in yards and receptions with 609 yards on 19 receptions, averaging 32.1 yards per catch..

Allen is currently ranked #1 in the state of Texas, and 10th in the country via MaxPreps. Boyd is ranked 245th in the state. It would be an absolute miracle if Boyd can pull off an upset. Allen has won the last 3 games, allowing only 20 points, with two shutouts, and scoring 113 points. Boyd has lost the last 3 games, allowing 120 points while scoring 70 points. This is their first head-to-head game this year.
