A series of accomplishments

To be in Reserve Officer Training Corps, from the perspective of Audrey Bono, Lydia Bono overcame the challenges of the program, the disapproval of her parents, and the prejudice against a woman in a largely male populated profession. Her determination, confidence and hard work led her to exactly where she desired to be in a job that Bono described as being difficult to make your place as a woman. That is exactly why Audrey Bono admires her sister, Inspiring her to keep working to reach her own goals in her desired profession.
Lydia Bono graduated number one in her class University of Oklahoma and ended up having her entire tuition paid for. “I admire that she worked really hard and ended up getting what she wanted,” Audrey said. As a successful graduate Lydia now has a multitude of opportunities open to her and the confidence to handle them.
