Allen ISD Superintendent Dr. Scott Niven retires

Allen ISD Superintendent, Dr. Scott Niven, announced his retirement Saturday in order to pursue other opportunities. Dr. Niven served as Allen’s Superintendent since 2017— when he formally replaced previous superintendent, Lance Hindt. 

In a news release, the Board of Trustees thanked Dr. Niven for his achievements while serving the district, and wished him the best in his future endeavors.

According to the Board of Trustees press release, Allen ISD School Board named Robin Bullock as acting superintendent while the board searches for his replacement. Bullock has been the district’s deputy superintendent since 2013. Bullock previously served as deputy superintendent and interim superintendent in Midlothian ISD, and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in educational leadership.
