Allen vs Rockwall Preview
On November 22 at 8 p.m, the 11-0 Allen Eagles will go up against the 9-2 Rockwall High School Yellowjackets at AT&T Stadium.
After defeating the Sachse High School Mustangs 55-20 last week in the first round, Allen looks to continue their playoff run with a win against Rockwall.
Allen is averaging 489.2 yards per game this season with an average of 42 points per game, while only giving up 20 points per game.
Quarterback Raylen Sharpe had a field day against Sachse, throwing 13 passes and completing 10 for a total 204 yards and two touchdowns, as well as running eight times for 61 yards and three more touchdowns. Bryson and Blaine Green both had big games as well, with Bryson catching four balls for 100 yards and Blaine catching three balls for 70 yards and two touchdowns.
Rockwall is averaging about 48 points per game, and only allowing 28 points per game. Key players to look out for are sophomore quarterback Braedyn Lock, who has thrown for 3168 yards with 38 touchdowns to only six interceptions. Also, senior wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba has 71 catches for 1523 yards and 24 receiving touchdowns.
With round two of the playoffs coming up, we are finding out who can make a deep playoff run this season, and Allen is hoping that they are one of those teams.
